Rough Beauty

Viewing one rusty window, with paint flaking off the structure, people see different things. Some would see a need for fixing, however others could see history of the item. The window has seen places, has provided shelter for many and served its purpose for some time. The window has a sense of place, a purpose of living. The same applies to a rusty fence, a falling board; each has served a purpose yet falls into a unique insensibility. Each of these objects has a rough beauty to a viewer. Despite its deteriorating presence, the lived sense of place creates an unique outlook of beauty.
