Final Days of Eco Design

These photos were taken leaving Kaxil Kiuic and during a stop at the market in Oxkutzcab before heading to Akumal on the coast. Its been difficult to express an ending to my trip. This could symbolize how the affects of the learning will never end and I have yet to fully understand the experience. I wanted to share these photos from the last days.

This is a detail of the image outside the door to each cabin. Each one was of a different bird or flower in the area. The pieces were made by hand from concrete.
This is a tricicleta in the market at Oxkutzcab. Fruit sellers can bring their produce in the plastic containers on these. The colors at the markets were incredibly vivid and diverse.
In another photograph from the market, a Yucatan man carries the fruit boxes.
Capturing the true emotions of people proved more difficult than I thought it would be. I tried to practice on this trip, and I liked the way this image turned out. He gave Anna and I oranges as gifts.
There seemed to be a Catholic cathedral near the center of every town we drove through or visited. As well, many of the churches were this beautiful yellow. This was the church in Oxkutzcab.
